www.potenzafilmfestival.it/images/stories (.pdf)

The PFF is subsidized chiefly by the Basilicata Region (Department of Culture and of Education – Department of Productive Activities, Policies of Enterprises and Technological Innovation), by Ministry of Work and Social Policies, by the European Social Fund and by the City of Potenza with the involvement of the University of Basilicata, of the Province of Potenza, of the Tourist Office of Basilicata. To these boards are added further associations, organizations, institutions and private sponsors.
The Potenza Film Festival suggests a new approach to the cinematographic language. Through the confrontation and the meeting among new authors, new technologies and new forms of cinematographic expression, the PFF is formed as a place of study and of research, formal and stylistic, of new prospects of the seventh art.

Inside every section, both competitive and noncompetitive, the PFF promotes the knowledge and the divulgation of new talent’s movies coming from various countries with low productivity, and experimental movies, stylistically independent and innovative. The PFF encourages the exchange of experience among the filmakers, the development and the discovery of new authors of Basilicata and the promotion of the city of Potenza and of the whole Basilicata region as a poetical link among landscape, light and sound.
