TEATARFEST 2004 - 7. mezinárodní divadelní festival

Teatarfest se bude konat v Sarajevu ve dnech 22.-26. září hledá projekty, které lze nabídnout do 31. března 2004. Festival je je zaměřený na kreativitu a alternativu, výzkum režie, vystupování, projevu, pohybu, kostýmů, hudby a dalších elementů divadelní tvorby a projektů, které zkoumají nové prostory, vize a media.
PROPOSITIONS FOR THE COMPETITIVE PART OF THE FESTIVAL
TEATARFEST is an international meeting point of theater groups which have a special way to express their theatre standards.
TEATARFEST aims are:
- creative and alternative, experimental projects, research the directing, performing, speech, movements, costumes, music and other important elements of the theatre expressions;
- projects which research new spaces, visions and media;
TEATARFEST is a way of showing the technical possibilities in theatre; examination of circumstances under which the chosen productions were made, the cooperation of different theater visions and gained experiences; meeting place, place where artists can exchange their own theatre experiences which, in many ways, can enrich the artistic creations of others.
FURTHER ACTIVITIES
Activities during the festival:
- ROUND TABLE of the participants, audience and critics, which examines circumstances under which the shown productions were made, and explains the possibilities of how these experiences can be used in different social, economical and cultural surroundings.
- THEATRE WORKSHOPS, wich try to work out in details and explore some theatre elements.
- SEMINARS, where theatre experts will give their own experiences they have gained about the theatre elements.
- MOVIES, about the theatre.
- ARTISTIC PERFORMANCES AND INSTALATIONS
- PERFORMANCES AT PLACES WHICH ARE NOT MEANT FOR THEATRE ACTIVITIES (streets, shopping centres, etc.)
PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS
You are obliged to provide the application form sent by this information sheet, as well as the following materials in order to participate in the process of selection:
1. VHS, CD or DVD of the performance
2. SHORT PLAY SUMMARY
3. INFORMATION ABOUT: THE THEATRE, THE DIRECTOR, THE AUTHOR OF SCENARIO (please choose the most important information about each of the named members; not more than 15 lines of the usual newspaper font)
4. NAMES OF THE PARTICIPANTS+THE TASK THEY HAVE IN THE PERFORMANCE (DIRECTOR, ACTOR-ROLE, DRIVER, TECHNICIANS, ETC.)
5. 2 PHOTOS FROM THE PERFORMANCE
6. CRITICS
The video tape of the performance should be sent by mail, and all the other information about the theatre group can be sent by e-mail, in Bosnian, English or German.
After the announce conclusion, the commission responsible for selection will choose plays which will participate in the official festival production, and the executive producer of the festival will make a playing schedule. The chosen groups will be informed until April, 30th 2004.
- Theatre groups guarantee to be present and to participate on all shows and discussions for the duration of the festival.
- TEATARFEST does not pay for travel expenses or fees.
- All of the participants have food, and accommodation free of charge and transportation in the City of Sarajevo.
- The entrance to festival's performances and programs is free for all participants.
- Foreign groups will get a flexible interpreter.
AWARDS
Awards are definied by a three-member-jury.
DEADLINE FOR APPLYING IS March, 31st 2004.
