Jeremy Rifkin je prezidentem washingtonské Nadace pro ekonomické trendy, poradcem Evropské unie a pedagogem programu pro vzdělávání výkonného firemního managementu na Warthově Institutu Pensylvánské Univerzity. Pan Rifkin je také předsedou kulatého stolu podnikatelů zaměřeného na otázky třetí průmyslové revoluce (Third Industrial Revolution Global CEO Business Roundtable). Ten shromažďuje sto reprezentantů největších amerických a evropských korporací, kteří chtějí reagovat na výzvy třetí průmyslové revoluce, konkrétně problematiku ekonomického oživení, energetické bezpečnosti a klimatických změn.
