1st CAJASOL GRANTS FOR VISUAL ARTS
Obra Social de Cajasol has set aside 125,000 euros for five grants for the execution of visual arts projects in any media or speciality. Artists of any nationality may apply for these grants, either individually or as a group, and there is no age restriction. Nevertheless, one of the grants will be reserved for artists from, or resident in, Andalucia. The grants provide direct funding and are indivisible and non-transferable. Any other kind of institutional funding is incompatible with the bestowal of one of these grants.
25,000 euros for each project. This includes the entire cost of production, travel, accommodation, materials, etc. In effect, the entire cost of executing the project, as well as the author's, or authors' fee, which shall not exceed the sum of 5,000 €. This grant is subject to current tax legislation. After the projects have been produced, the organizers will study each individual piece in order to provide all the necessary elements -installation and technical requirements- for it to be exhibited at the venue.
Documentation
A curriculum -2,000 characters maximum- and photocopy of the National Identity Card or equivalent (passport) of the author or authors of the project.
A description of the project applying for the grant and 15 to 20 photographs of it.
Other photographs
provided as slides or in PC compatible digital format;
of works by each author corresponding to the two years before the submission deadline.
Approximate budget.
The documentation may be submitted in Spanish or English.
The return of the material is optional and applicants should indicate their wishes to this effect in the documentation.
