Tourism Cares přijímá žádosti do globálního programu

Nezisková organizace Tourism Cares sjednocující National Toursim Foundation a Travelers Conservation Foundation usiluje o uchování turistických zkušeností a prožitků pro budoucí generace. V současné době vypisuje v rámci svého Globálního programu výzvu, které se mohou účastnit buď jednorázové projekty, či části rozsáhlejších projektů ve dvou oblasetch a) stavební úpravy, které přispívají k uchování, ochraně a obnovení staveb či jednotlivých stavebních  složek ve významných historických, kulturních či přírodních lokalitách. Druhou tématickou oblastí, na níže j možno žádat grant jsou vzdělávací programy posilující aspekt interpretace kultruního dědictví určitého místa, turistického cíle. Maximální výše jednoho grantu je $10,000. Uzávěrka pro předkládání žádostí je 1. července 2011. 
2011 Tourism Cares Worldwide Grant Program

In 2011, the Worldwide Grant Application is available on-line only. Any web browser can be used to access the on-line system, but the preferred browser is Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.

Note: Paper applications sent in by mail or fax, or e-mailed as attachments, will not be considered. Also, any items submitted under separate cover will not be considered.

Please note the Internet Explorer back button does not function in the on-line application as it does normally, so we recommend you use the internal "Save and Return to Dashboard" button.

Any information your organization provides to Tourism Cares as part of this application will be kept confidential.

Step One: Intial Letter of Inquiry Phase, Application Deadlines:

Tuesday, March 1, 2011, 5 pm Eastern time (This application is closed.)
Friday, July 1, 2011, 5 pm Eastern time (Now open.)
 
Overall Giving and Evaluation Process:

In 2011 Tourism Cares will give two groups of six Worldwide Grants at $10,000 each for an annual total of $120,000.

The Executive Director and the Blue Ribbon Panel, composed of experts in the fields of conservation, preservation, restoration, and tourism, evaluate suitable applications and make recommendations to the Tourism Cares Board of Directors. Final approval is made by the Tourism Cares Board of Directors. Grantmaking eligibility criteria are set annually by the Board of Directors and are subject to change.
 
Worldwide Grant On-Line Application Steps:


1) Step One: Initial Letter of Inquiry Phase: Includes proof of nonprofit, tax-exempt status, Letter of Inquiry, and Project Budget and Budget Explanatory Narrative

2) Step Two: Full Proposal (Only applicants who have submitted Step One Required Attachments, and are invited by Tourism Cares to submit a Full Proposal in the on-line application will need to fulfill this step.)

3) Grantee Selection and Award

4) Final Report Submission (within 12 months of date of grant award)

    Note: Tourism Cares will notify both organizations that are accepted, or denied, at the appropriate phase of the application process.

Please be sure to verify the following before you access the on-line applicaiton and submit the  Required Attachments for the Worldwide Grant Application Step One- Initial Letter of Inquiry Phase-  for consideration:

    a) your organization is a bona fide IRS 501 (c) (3), (or equivalent for non-U. S. organizations)

     Note: U. S. Native American tribes that have U. S. government nonprofit, tax-exempt status are also eligible to apply, and will need to submit the corresponding official document as well.

    b) your organization, site, and project or program fit the Tourism Cares Grant Program Eligibility Requirements.


The following Required Items must be submitted in the Worldwide Grant Application on-line system for Step 1:

 I. Copy of official IRS 501 (c) (3) determination letter (or equivalent document for non-U. S. organizations)
II. Worldwide Grant Letter of Inquiry*
III. Project Budget and Explanatory Narrative*

 *The required format for items II and III above is detailed in the two PDFs accessible from the two links above and also the Required Attachments section of the on-line application.

Note: The above three documents should be scanned and submitted in PDF format only in the Attachment Section of Step 1 of this Application.
