REAL SPACE - A New Media Residency
For artists who work with new media and technology. Six-week process-oriented artist's residency for the development of a new media project. The residency provides living, working and exhibition space in the heart of downtown Boston, as well as "think tank" support from professionals in the field. Projects should be experimental, research-oriented, community-based, and in need of further development.

They provide real space for real ideas. New media and technology may well offer innovative ways of expressing artistic concepts, but real, physical space is still the best venue for sharing work with the community.
You propose a new media project that meets the residency criteria. They select one resident per year. If they select your project, they provide the necessary support and resources to help you develop it.
A select panel of new media professionals which might include artists, curators and invited members of the Do While Studio and Studio Soto.
Criteria:
- Artists should be at least 21 years of age by the beginning of the residency.
- Artists from anywhere in the world who are currently working with new media and technology to deliver their artistic message.
- Artists who can present at least three years of work with their application.
Submit a Full Application by February 15, 2005. They will notify you whether they are inviting you to submit a Full Application by January 15, 2005.
If they accept your letter of intent, they will send you a complete application, either by mail or electronically via PDF.
They will notify you with an answer by March 15, 2005.
