Newyorská tiskárna vypisuje umělecké rezidence
Lower East Side, New York Tiskárna Lower East Side New York vyhlašuje rezidenční pobyt na rok 2012 pod titulem Special Editions Residency 2012. Rezidenční pobyt je určen začínajícím umělcům a umělkyním, kteří vytvoří svá díla prostřednictvím média tisku za asistence zkušených tiskařských mistrů. Ti jim budou v průběhu rezidence k dispozici. Objevování nových přístupů a experimentování s materiály je v rámci rezidence vítáno. Pobyt v délce tří až šesti měsíců by měl proběhnout v časovém období od února 2012 do února 2013. Autoři/autorky obdrží stipendium ve výši do 4000 USD. Uzávěrka rezidenčního pobytu je 2. prosince 2011.

Call for applications
The Lower East Side Printshop invites emerging artists of all disciplines to apply for the 2012 Special Editions Residency, a competitive residency program that allows emerging artists to create new work through exploration of printmaking. The Printshop offers an opportunity for artists to complete an important new body of work in collaboration with our experienced master printers, fully sponsored by the Printshop.
Residencies will take place for a period of three to six months, including production time, scheduled between February 2012 and February 2013. Projects must be well under way and ready for production by October 1, 2012.
Artists are provided with technical assistance, financial support, and the time and space to explore printmaking. Experimentation and exploration of new materials and processes are welcome. No previous printmaking experience is required.
Residency includes:
• 12 day-long collaboration sessions with master printers during a period of three to six months, including project production/editioning
• Independent studio access during the residency
• All project materials
• Up to $4,000 stipend
• Print and internet publicity
• Catalogue and project documentation
• Limited travel and accommodation stipends for artists living outside of New York City
