Flaggfabrikken international artist residency in Bergen, Norway Flaggfabrikken - centre for photography and visual arts is offering an opportunity for artists that work with camera based art to undertake a three months residency in Bergen, Norway. Next application date is October 1st 2008.

The residency is supported by the municipality of Bergen Flaggfabrikken offer two residencies a year, one for the spring period and one for autumn. October 1st 2008 we accept applications both for spring (March-May 2009) and autumn (Sept-Nov 2009). Please inform us of which period you are applying for and if you are applying for both periods. Flaggfabrikken is an artist collective based in Bergen. In addition to having our own studios and artist practice at Flaggfabrikken, we work in different ways to promote camera based art locally and internationally. Flaggfabrikken will with the generous financial support from Bergen Municipal offer the artist: studio, accommodation, travel expenses paid and give a small grant towards covering other living expenses during the artist's stay. During the residency the artist is expected to give a talk on his/her work for the members of Flaggfabrikken and local artists/curators. In addition Flaggfabrikken suggests that the artist will take the opportunity of showing work in collaboration with a local institution.

Applications must include
- up to 20 (preferably digital, 1024x768 px, 72 dpi) images of previous works
- And/or a Dvd of video-art
- Project proposal for the residency period (max 500 words)
- Artist statement (max 500 words)
- Updated cv (max 2 A4 pages)
 
THE APPLICATION MUST REACH FLAGGFABRIKKEN BY POST OR E-MAIL NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 1ST 2008.
The residencies will be decided before November 15th 2008.
